Its basically a urine or blood test which detects pregnancy hormone.When HCG is more than 5 it can be picked up on a blood test.When it is more than 25 it can be picked up on urine test.Positive pregnancy test is not a viable for pregnancy confirmation.We need to see baby heart beat for confirmation. Hcg Hormone can increase in many ways.This can be due o bio chemical or abnormal pregnancy.
