I-10 opens after fiery crash near Chandler Boulevard

Left lanes of Interstate 10 have reopened after multiple crashes Thursday morning. Officials say it appears to have been a chain-reaction crash. A semi-truck reportedly crashed into two cars, which then burst into flames. A total of six vehicles were involved in the crash. DPS says the five people killed were occupants of those two cars. Their identities have not been released. The cause of the crash may have been due to distracted driving, officials say, but the investigation is ongoing.
