Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam "ﷺ"
Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him
(صلى الله عليه وسلم)
This divine blessings is called Durood Shareef. It is the duty of every Muslim to recite Durood Sharif, which means Peace Be Upon Prophet Muhammad, as much as possible, especially because it brings us closer to Allah and His Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Sometimes you'll see the abbreviation SAW directly after a written reference to Prophet Muhammad. SAW stands for salla Allahu alayhi wasalaam, which means 'may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him'. You'll also sometimes see PBUH after a reference to Prophet Muhammad, which stands for 'peace be upon him'.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has said:
“The angels send darud on him who sends darood on me, as long as he does so.” (Ahmad, Ibn Majah).
“He who sends darood on me once, Allah sends darud on him ten times over.” (Muslim)
“The one who sends darood on me most often will deserve to remain close to me on the Day of Resurrection” (Tirmidhi).
