16 oz low moisture mozzarella cheese
1 cup all purpose flour
2 liters oil for frying
1 cup italian bread crumbs
3 eggs
1/4 cup heavy cream
salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder
chopped parsley
Marinara Sauce:
1/2 diced onion
3-4 cloves minced garlic
32 oz crushed tomatoes
2-3 tbsps olive oil
basil
salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder, italian seasoning
red pepper flakes
pinch of sugar
Directions:
Begin by setting up your station. You will need a mixing bowl for each of the following: eggs/heavy cream, bread crumbs, and all purpose flour. Cut your mozzarella into desired size sticks. Season flour and bread crumbs. Coat them in the flour, then eggwash, then bread crumbs. Repeat those steps a second time. Get oil up to 350 degrees and fry mozzarella sticks for about 90 seconds or until golden brown. Serve immediately with marinara sauce
