Warships Madi In Bangladesh:
First Bangladesh made warship was the Pabna Class riverine patrol crafts. Navy operated them until handed over to the Bangladesh Coast Guard. After that several state-owned naval shipyards and shipbuilding facilities has been established. The Dockyard and Engineering Works (DEW) Limited, Khulna Shipyard Ltd. (KSY) And the Chittagong Dry Dock Limited (CDDL) are the largest naval shipyards. These shipbuilding industries built various types of naval ships for the Bangladesh Navy.
ASW Large Patrol Crafts, coastal patrol vessels, riverine patrol boats, landing craft utilities, hydrographic survey ships, amphibious warfare vessels and many more types of naval ships are being built by the Bangladesh naval shipyards for the Bangladesh Navy and customers overseas!
Bangladesh Navy currently realizing their biggest naval shipbuilding project – High Performance Air Defense frigate program. With foreign technical assistances Chittagong Dry Dock Limited will build these advanced frigates.
Khulna Shipyard Limited will produce 4 more stealth-hull corvettes for the Navy. KSY currently building several warships indigenously.
Bangladesh Navy wants to be the builder navy within the next decade. Navy leadership implementing a plan for this ambition.
