Today new video around London. I'll take you with me to the British Museum, one of the most interesting museums in the city with a rich collection of art masterpieces from around the world.
The collection of the British Museum in London was born in the mid-1700s from the idea of an English private collector: Hans Sloane. The museum is housed in a gigantic structure and its facade is the result of the typical Greek and Roman revival of the nineteenth century. Once inside, you are immediately immersed in the most recognizable place in the museum: Norman Foster's Great Court. visiting it all at once is impossible but there are works that are not to be missed. For this as well as for the other English museums we visited together such as the Tate or the V&A I have created a list of some works that cannot be absolutely lost: the Rosetta Stone, the Parthenon friezes, Lewis's chess pieces, the mummy. the Katebets and the armor of a samurai. Let's find out together!
