No, it's not the apocalypse.  This is what a swarm of honeybees looks and sounds like shortly after it has left the hive.  Swarming is natural bee behavior when a bee colony outgrows its current hive space.  The bees are not aggressive in the swarm.  Their primary concern is finding a new place to live.  If you see a swarm somewhere let a local beekeeper like me know.  We'd be glad to take them off your hands for you.  Swarms usually occur in the months of June, July, and August in New Hampshire.
