Quick Tarka Dhal Recipe/Masoor Dhal/Red Lentils!!

Tarka Dhal - Masoor Dhal

Serves 3-4

Ingredients:
2 tbsp oil
1 cup red lentils/Masoor Dhal - washed
1 small onion - sliced
3 big cloves of garlic - crushed
20g fresh ginger - crushed
1 vine ripe tomato - sliced
3 cups hot water
Small handful fresh coriander - chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
1 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves - crushed
1 tsp salt

For the tarka:
2 tbsp butter ghee
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 dried Kashmiri chillies

This recipe was the first I made when I started cooking Indian cuisine and it’s one of my favourite dishes.
