Ling-ji 靈乩 mediums practicing ling-dong 靈動 at a medicine festival in Taiwan. This includes tai chi like spontaneous movement and deity language (speaking in tongues). 台灣靈乩修行靈動. 台湾灵乩修行灵动. The basic belief system is that by allowing deities to influence your 'ling' i.e., soul, you can progress to a higher spiritual level. The practice involves spontaneous movements and speaking in deity language. The purpose of this may be to help lost spirits progress to a new reincarnation, to help oneself remember past incarnations, and to secure a better incarnation in the next life. Many of the movements in this video are directed at energizing and therefore 'opening' the food and flower altars.
