In the Gilead HIV drug litigation, internal Gilead documents revealed that Gilead paused the development of its anti-viral drug, TAF, while a more dangerous version of the drug (TDF) remained on the market.  The evidence also shows that Gilead did this to extend its patent exclusivity and profit to the tune of additional billions of dollars.
