We've all had moments of feeling frustrated with our child and yelling, threatening, or saying something we regretted. Sometimes when we've done this, it's hard to forgive ourselves. But the reality is, it's impossible to be "perfect" or have perfect connection with our child all the time. We build connected relationships by learning the skills of repair, so that when we become disconnected or have conflict, we can re-connect and provide that safe haven that our kids need to become resilient and emotionally secure.
