Graeme Willy (Simon Pegg from Mission Impossible and Shaun of the Dead) and Clive Gollings (Nick Frost from Shaun of the Dead) are British comic book enthusiasts and best friends who travel to the United States to attend the annual San Diego Comic-Con. Taking a road trip through the Southwestern U.S., they watch a car driving erratically and then crashing. They then stop, offering assistance to the driver, an alien named Paul (Paranoid Alien Ultra Life-Force), who Graeme agrees to give a ride to, despite Clive fainting and wetting his pants upon seeing him.

What’s the movie Paul about?
For 60 years, Paul (Seth Rogen’s voice, who also starred in Knocked-Up and Neighbors), an alien, has been living on Earth and collaborating with the American government. He is hiding in a top secret military base... Paul is at the origin of everything we could imagine about aliens, from merchandising to the scenarios of Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T. or even X Files. Unfortunately for him, now that the American government has taken away all the interesting information about extraterrestrial life, they decide to get rid of him. Paul manages to escape and comes face to face with two teenage science fiction fans who are traveling around the United States in a camper van. Paul convinces them to take him with them and help him leave the earth. The task becomes even more difficult for our two "Sunday heroes" as they are being pursued by a relentless cop assisted by two FBI goons...
