The India Meteorological Department (IMD)
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday morning that a dense to very dense layer of fog has engulfed Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, North Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The thick blanket of fog has resulted in poor visibility in several cities. In Delhi's Palam, the visibility was just 25 metres as per data recorded at 5:30 am. In the Safdarjung area, the visibility was 50 metres.
