For years everyone from IT Professionals to everyday home users have been fighting Microsoft's somewhat unintelligent methods of copyright protection. Most people that are trying to find and download Windows install disks already have a license and just want a disk to do a clean install. However due to the manufacturers not including restore media or OS disks, or simply because one lost a disk, people have no easy way to re-install windows, which any geek or IT tech will tell you needs to be done regularly. I'd actually wager to say more people have started pirating Windows because of this situation. Someone can't find a disk so they start searching the internet to get one and thus become somewhat educated in installing illegal software, which I fully understand. I say it's Microsoft's own damn fault for fostering the need to find install disks.
Well Miscrosoft finally fixed their Rectal-Cranial-Inversion by not only now allowing one to download and create Windows 8.1 install disks, buy they actually made the process really easy and within the reach of everyone.
In this video, I walk you through the incredibly easy process of downloading and creating your Windows 8.1 installation media. You can create a bootable SD card, USB flash drive, or DVD.
