در این مجموعه علی جاوید به بررسی پداگوژی در معماری در مکان و زمان های مختلف درون تاریخ معماری میپردازد. بعد از مقدمه ای در مورد مفهوم پداگوژی در معماری او در پنج بخش به بررسی پداگوژی در مکتب های مختلف فکری می پردازد:

علی جاوید ،معمار، مدرس و پژوهشگر دوره دکتری تاریخ و تیوری معماری در  دانشگاه استرالیا غربی(The University of Western Australia) است. پروژه دکتری او در رابطه با کنش-واکنش(Action-reaction) بین آموزش معماری و تغییرات سیاسی-اجتماعی مانند انقلاب ها، کودتاها و جنبش های دانشجویی و مدنی در برخی کشورهای  خاورمیانه مانند ایران  در دوران جنگ سرد(1947-1991) است.  این پژوهش بر مبنای نظریه شبکه کنشگر (Actor-network Theory) برنو لاتور ، استودیوهای طراحی را شبکه ای دینامیک از کنشگرهای انسان و غیر انسان می داند که در بحرانهای اجتماعی-سیاسی ،علاوه بر تغییر و تحول کنشگرهایش، قابلیت تبدیل شدن به نهادی مستقل و عاملی برای تغییر و بازتعریف مفهوم معماری و رابطه اش با جامعه را داراست. او سابقه تدریس به مدت 8 سال در دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی مشهد را دارد و اکنون مدرسی دروسی مانند استودیو طراحی (1)، تاریخ معماری مدرن، ساختار و سسیستم( Structure and System) ، و پایان نامه های فوق لیسانس در دانشکده معماری دانشگاه استرالیا غربی است. علاوه بر این، وی در حال حاضر دستیار تحقیقاتی در دو پروژه پژوهشی دیگر در حوزه تاریخ و تئوری معماری در دانشگاه ملبورن و دیکین استرالیاست.
پروژه های پژوهشی او در قالب مقالات و چپترهایی در کتابهایی با همکاری با دانشگاههای همچون میشیگان، کمبریج، اوکلاهاما، ادینبورگ ، استرالیایی غربی و انتشارات راتلیج به چاپ رسیده و یا در دست چاپ هستند. از جمله جوایز و بورسیه های وی می توان به موارد زیر اشاره کرد:
- فلوشیپ دانشگاه مریلند(Dean’s Fellowship award ) ، آمریکا (2017-2018)
- بورسیه دولت  استرالیا (RTP) برای پروژه پژوهشی دکتری(2018-2022)
- فلوشیپ آموزشی FABLE، دانشگاه استرالیا غربی(2019-2020)
- پروژه منتخب پژوهشی دکتری در حوزه نظریه و روش های طراحی از طرف انجمن مورخان تاریخ معماری استرالیا و نیوزلند(SAHANZ)، دانشگاه ملبورن (2020)

Ali Javid is an architect, lecturer and PhD scholar in Architecture history and theory at the University of Western Australia, School of Design. His PhD project is about the nexus( action-reaction)  between architectural pedagogy and socio-political changes such as revolutions, coups, civil and student protests in some countries in the Middle East, such as Iran during the Cold War (1947-1991). Based on Bruno Latour's Actor-network Theory, this research considers pedagogical design studios as a dynamic network of human and non-human actors. Accordingly, during radical socio-political changes, this dynamic network not only faces changing its actors but also has an opportunity to become an agent of change. The agent can question and redefine the meaning of architecture and its relationship with society. In addition, he has taught for eight years at the Islamic Azad University of Mashhad and, since 2018, has taught units such as Design Studio (1), History of Modern Architecture, Structure and System, and postgraduate dissertations at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Western Australia. Moreover, he is currently a research assistant in two other research projects in architecture history and theory at the University of Melbourne and Deakin.
His research projects have been published or are under the process of publication in the form of articles or chapters in books in collaboration with universities and publishers such as Michigan, Cambridge, Oklahoma, Edinburgh, Western Australia, and Routledge.
