USDA's Cancer Moonshot: Community Conversations - "Cancer Prevention Through Healthful Eating"

On Thursday, July 11, as part of the White House Cancer Moonshot: Community Conversations series, USDA hosted a virtual conversation on Cancer Prevention Through Healthful Eating.

Hosted by USDA’s Agricultural Science Center of Excellence for Nutrition and Diet for Better Health (ASCEND for Better Health), this webinar highlighted USDA’s progress on efforts to prevent diet-related cancers and diseases through more tailored nutrition research and community engagement.

This virtual event featured USDA Chief Scientist & Under Secretary for Research, Education, and Economics Dr. Chavonda Jacobs-Young, as well as nutrition experts, research leaders, and community members. During the event, Dr. Jacobs-Young announced a $4.5 million investment to establish three additional USDA Nutrition Hubs in communities across the country.
