Thinking of creating your own duct tape dress form? Don't make the same mistakes I did! From mannequin arms to bursting seams, here are 11 tips, ideas, and suggestions to help you build the best dress form possible from materials you already have around your house.
There's no better way to level up your sewing game than with a DIY replica of your body with your measurements. As a self-taught sewist, I never realized how much easier creating new fashions and looks is when you have a second version of yourself to model your designs. Making a dress form out of duct tape isn't quite as simple as it seems though. There's a lot of things that can go wrong if you haven't tried this before. I wanted to share with you what I would do differently if I made another duct tape dress form after what I have learned.
