First off I just want to say that I'm not paid by any of the companies that I mention in this video. They didn't give me this stuff and I didn't get anything from them on it.
But, you know, if that kinda thing is possible and I could live off the money from it - please someone let me know.
So, I'm pretty cheap about things even when they are done for enjoyment. So, I do a lot of shopping for motorcycle gear at : https://motorcyclecloseouts.com/
They were called something different back when I'd shop there all the time the first time I owned a motorcycle.
I've owned 2 different motorcycle helmet manufacturers - HJC (my all time favorite helmet with a skull and a rose on it) and Scorpion Helmets.
So... about saving money and riding. Of course you don't want to endanger yourself. But what you can find are poor sellers that are otherwise good equipment. Which is what I did with this helmet.
It is a Scorpion EXO T520 helmet - "Golden State" model. I suspect that for whatever reason this helmet didn't sell well or maybe its last years model of the T520. Whatever the reason - I bought it for $90 - compared to $200 or $220. That's a huge win for me.
I mean, not that its going to make me riding motorcycles again any more acceptable to my wife or family. But at least I didn't spend $800 on a helmet - which anyone can easily do these days.
Fortunately, my small alien head fits in Scorpion model helmets and not Arai helmets. Well, I'll probably never know because I'm not spending $500 or more for a helmet.
You'll notice what I'm not saying though - is by a $30 helmet on Temu. I mean, it might be good and I buy a lot of crap from Temu. Just not stuff that's going to protect my brain - or as medical doctors might say - "me" or "you".
