Mama cow trusting the farmer

All new calves on the farm get a shot of Vitamin B and Selenium.  This helps prevent white muscle disease.  The injection goes just under their skin and hurts less than a pin prick.   However, the calves don't always like being held still. In this case I almost got myself in the leg.

The mother, while protective of the calf, knows me well enough to let me work the calf.   It is important to always watch the mother in case she has a change of heart.  2000 pounds vs 200 pounds would have a predictable outcome.
