Are there fish hiding in the water under the trees? Sometimes you can hear them if you listen. Watch this video with the sound on or better yet, with earphones and hear the sounds of snook...
The rod I was using was a Matzuo 6'6" medium action
Model MZ-662MSP
The reel was an Okuma Trio 30s
That's currently my favorite rod/reel setup.
The sound recorder I used was a zoomH1
I used a Radio Shack lav mic (attached to my shirt collar) plugged into the recorder (which was in my pocket)
It is a bunch more work to have an external recorder for sound, but it's worth it for better video. I've only started using this technique recently but I already feel somethings missing if I just use the GoPro's microphone for sound.
I'll try to upload a video soon on how I match the sound with video.
