NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) NDVI is a dimensionless index to measure the state of plant health based on how the plant reflects light.
NDVI formula, NDVI = (NIR - Red) / (NIR + Red)
In Landsat 8-9, NDVI = (Band 5 – Band 4) / (Band 5 + Band 4).
In Landsat 4-7, NDVI = (Band 4 – Band 3) / (Band 4 + Band 3).
