This UNESCO world heritage site is a series of seven Ice Age Art caves around the Swabian Jura area, near Ulm in southern Germany. Inside these small caves are some of the oldest known artistic objects in human history - musical instruments, figurines, symbols, and totems. Although most of the caves are active archaeology sites and closed to the public, we visited the museum at Blaubeuren which contains many of the finds, some of which are nearly 50,000 years old!
