Hello Everyone, Today (25th October
Hello Everyone, Today (25th October 2020) is a historic day for people of Lahore because today a great public transport project named "Orange Line Metro Train" has been officially opened for public. It is a great project for people of Lahore as they can travel from Dera Gujran (GT Road) to Ali Town (Thokar Niaz Baig) for just 40 Rupees.
It is a modern way to travel and the stations and train itself is excellent. This project is completed under CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor) and is funded by both China and Pakistan. Right now a basic introductory fare of 40 Rs is charged for any stop to any stop. It has total of 26 stations out of which 2 are underground while remaining 24 are elevated.
Today I was invited at the inauguration ceremony where I enjoyed the ride from Dera Gujran to Ali Town and then back. I am really happy for citizens of Lahore and hope such project could be started in other cities too.
