A versão beta do Sonic The Hedgehog 2 que se tornou uma verdadeira lenda nos anos 90, descoberta por Simon Wai e por isso conhecida como Sonic 2 Simon Wai prototype, nessa beta é possível ver várias diferenças nos nomes das fases, layouts, sprite do Sonic e até é possível encontrar as zonas excluídas Hidden Palace e Wood Zone.
The beta version of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 that became a true legend in the 90s, discovered by Simon Wai and therefore known as Sonic 2 Simon Wai prototype, in this beta you can see several differences in the names of the stages, layouts, Sonic sprite and you can even find the Hidden Palace and Wood Zone excluded zones.
