In this video, I talk to Sue Walker about role of unintegrated primitive reflexes and their role in speech.

Sue is a fully qualified and licensed Speech &  Language Therapist from the UK - She is also an experienced Reading Therapist,  a Montessori Nursery teacher and an Educational Kinesiologist.

She is a mum of 5 adopted children,  all of whom have some kind of learning/behavioural/communication/physical challenges,  as well as the grandmother of 8!

She trained in the UK,  but has been living and working in SE asia for more than 30 years - currently,  she runs her own 'multi-modal therapy centre in Kuching,  Sarawak (Malaysia) - previously,  she was the Speech Therapist /Principal at 2 schools for children with Special Educational Needs in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur - She also makes regular trips to China to work in centres for children with Autism.

She works mainly with children (from babies through to teenagers) but  also works with adult stroke patients. The children she works with are of all abilities and many have multiple challenges,  not only with communication.

She is excited about sharing some of her knowledge and skills - her aim is to empower individuals with the skills necessary to recognise and work with a range of communication challenges in children.

About me :

I am a Holistic Occupational therapist and founder of Khushi therapy center based in Mumbai- India.

I believe that the mind and body are connected and see challenges from a whole-person perspective. I combine complementary therapies and integral health techniques in my practice of Occupational therapy to help my clients at a deeper level.

I believe balance is an integral part of wellness and that alignment of body mind and spirit is the key to helping ourselves and our kids.

I work with neurodiverse kids and their families for the last two decades.

My strength lies in blending my role as a parent and a therapist to offer the best practical strategies to support families who come to me.
