📒 In this Excel video lesson you will learn how to prevent users seeing Excel sheets and how to restrict access to an Excel sheet. You can prevent a user accessing an Excel sheet if you hide sheets in Excel VBA to make a very hidden Excel sheet. A very hidden Excel worksheet will restrict excel sheet access and prevent someone seeing the excel sheet and even prevent unhide sheets in Excel. This is a simple and effective way to prevent excel sheet access and will hide the excel sheet and protect it from being unhidden. I will also show you how to unhide very hidden sheets in excel.
If you want to hide sheets in excel with a password to prevent a user accessing an excel sheet then make the worksheet very hidden and password protect the VBA project. This is how to hide and password protect a sheet in excel and prevent a user seeing the excel sheet or even know it exists.

if you want to know how to prevent users seeing certain excel sheets hiding them from view and making sure they can't be unhidden and you're going to love the simple technique i'll show you in this video if you want sheets to be completely invisible within a spreadsheet you can just say right i'm going to hide a sheet for example but any user will just be able to come and unhide it again so in order to achieve the effect of being able to hide something completely you need to use a property in the vba called very hidden so we do alt f11 to open the vb window you'll see in this workbook workbook for example i've got these four sheets now i can click on any one of these for example on that test and you'll see there's a property called visible now if the properties windows not available you can just go to view and uh properties window or click f4 and that will be visible so yeah click on the sheet you can see it says visible now hidden is what i just did that's the same as manually hiding it in excel but you can see you have this very hidden so when i set very hidden i go back to my spreadsheet and not only is the sheet not visible but i haven't don't even have the ability to unhide it it's as if the sheet doesn't exist so this is an excellent way of hiding stuff within spreadsheets and you can certainly use that for example in um you can hide passwords and and things like that if need be on a hidden sheet. make sure you check out the other videos on that for excel if you like what you see hit that subscribe button hit the bell icon as well you'll get notified of the next videos coming out and i'll see you soon
