Harsh Punishment

The plaintiff says her mother, the defendant, falsely accused her of child abuse after she punished her son with a belt for breaking curfew. She went to jail, so she’s now suing her mother for the cost of an expungement and emotional distress. The defendant says her grandson showed her his bruises. She’s countersuing for emotional distress.
