Clone Hero is a freeware music rhythm video game created by Ryan Foster. It is a clone of the Guitar Hero franchise with nearly identical gameplay. The main draw of the game is its ability to play community-made songs, which has resulted in a large fan community around the game as well as a resurgence in popularity for the genre. Clone hero acts similar to and emulator and you’ll have to source your own songs. This guide assumes you have atleast downloaded Clone Hero from https://clonehero.net/

Originally I was wanting to play Clone Hero for the first time because of how simple it is to combine all the songs from past games. I originally picked up a Nintendo Wii Les Paul, had a few fun days playing one of the Guitar Hero games, but got quickly annoyed with load times, song selections, and having to switch disks out for another track list. It is also impossible to play DLC songs with the services being shut down in various forms.
