Switching Things Up! // Building a Home in the Portuguese Mountains

Since Zak had cracked a rib, it was a good time for Jackie to learn how to run the place by herself.

We are Zak and Jackie and together with our child and our old dog Caat we live in the mountains of Central Portugal. In 2019 we found ourselves buying 2 hectares of abandoned land and a house and we finally made the move in 2022. Follow us on our journey of rehabilitating former Eucalyptus plantation land, building a house and a life in a new country.
