BAC stands for blood alcohol concentration. The BAC is an outcome measure of the percentage of alcohol that one has in their bloodstream. At .08, NC and most other states determine that you are committing an illegal offense when operating a motor vehicle. The BAC could be impacted by several different factors such as body weight, gender, the amount of food and body fluid in a person’s system, illness, age, and many other factors.
