The Critical Drinker is almost
The Critical Drinker is almost always right, but his thoughts on Ari Aster's Midsommer are the exception. I make the case that Midsommar should be viewed differently as a surreal film that works with dreamworld logic, like David Lynch films. Both Midsommar and Hereditary do this.
With that done, I give my take on Midsommar as a reaction to criticisms of modernity.
