Ecole Dynamique is a demoratic community in which children are free to make their own choices on their learning and all aspects of their lives. It is hence freed from curricula, timetables and age groups. Sudbury Valley School has been adopting this approach since 1969 and obtained outcomes which challenge conventional wisdom. In the end, this school embraces the socratic tradition to admit ignorance of what should be a good education for the youth, let children be who they are supposed to be, without judging them or projecting on them whom we wish them to be. Are we talking crazy here, or is it an actual Copernican revolution ?
Previously a consultant in business strategy with the Boston Consulting Group, Ramin decided at age 26 to live his childhood dream of becoming a teacher. Always thirsty for innovation, his path will take him to deeply questionning conventional schooling and adopt an educational approach which is widely unknown but surprisingly effective: doing nothing! Offering the child a safe and rich environment, in which he will be able to develop his unique potential in his areas of interest.
