Koppen Scheme - Polar Ice cap Climate (EF) | UPSC IAS Geography

In this video we will learn about koeppen climate classification system world climate | Group E : Polar Ice cap Climate (EF). The ice cap climate is found over the frozen lands of the Arctic and Antarctic. In the Northern Hemisphere, it is found in the interior of Greenland and Arctic Ocean, northern parts of Canada and Russia. In the Southern Hemisphere, it's found on Antarctica
This climate is also found on top of the highest mountains - the Andes, the Himalayas, the Rocky Mountains, the Caucasus, and the Alps. These region have high pressure belts, hence precipitation is very low.
