Denali - FB Live December 2019  - Wolf Mountain Sanctuary

Denali is our tripod wolf and he was born wild. He lost his leg to bone cancer a while back, but he is doing GREAT and loves his visitors!

If you are wondering why Denali doesn't like Danna, it is because she brought a rescue dog to the sanctuary to give it a break from being in the car. The dog was screaming when it got out of the car as it was scared. He was there for a while to get out of the car and then when we loaded him back up for the rest of his transport he started screaming again. Denali saw her to this and thought she was hurting the dog. The dog is now in his forever home doing great!

WMS helps these dogs that are in shelters. The shelters frequently mislabel dogs as wolf dogs and will only allow a wolf sanctuary to rescue them. Every dog we have saved this way ended up being dogs with NO WOLF in them. Unfortunately the shelters will not listed to us on this matter. SO, we go rescue them and either find them forever homes or release to a rescue that finds them forever homes.
