Hey friends! This week Rae and I took to our collection of ice cream books and picked one of my favorite flavors of ice cream to make. The recipe comes directly from the Bay's very own Humphrey Slocombe and the flavor we made was Malted Milk Chocolate!
I love a good malt milkshake. I don’t know what it is but the flavor is just unique and tasty. You throw malt into any of my milkshakes and I'm about as happy as can be. You hear of the old malt shops from back in the day this is what this flavor reminds me of.
You’ll notice this process is a little different from our usual approach. What I love about ice cream is there are many ways to create incredible flavors and this year we’re gonna test out a few new methods from famous ice cream shops around the country! This process requires us to mix eggs with sugar, heat the milk and cream, create an ice bath, etc. The result is a delicious ice cream that I can't wait to make again!

My goal is to encourage families, especially dads, to get in the kitchen and make some memories with their kids. As a working parent I know how hard it can be to create Intentional time with the family dedicated to creating life long memories. That’s why Be Ice Cream Or Be Nothing exists! I also know the feeling of taking your eyes off of the screen for two seconds only to realize that the content your kid stumbled upon isn’t the content that you were expecting to see.
Additionally, have you ever watched a show with your kids while thinking “I really wish there was something for me here.” I agree. Our channel is dedicated to the entire family, not just the kids. We want your family to be inspired to get in the kitchen and make some memories, not just watch other kids play with their toys.
