This is a follow up for my large tennis ball elbow calcified cyst. Very interesting presentation! This is not pus or infection (it was cultured). Due to the inflammation from his wound dehiscence the body has produced fluid in the area that has mixed with his calcium crystals (gout) and made a ranch dressing appearing wet chalk like substance. It felt like grains of sand in the fluid discharge. I extended his suture removal by 6 days in order to reduce inflammation and allow for more healing. 3 week suture removal at end of video- he is doing great! We are cautiously optimistic because this is a very tricky area with his condition. The fluid has dried up and the scar closed nicely. Link to original surgery below.
