In this tutorial, learn how to create the commonly used lo-fi vocal effect, also known as the "radio voice" effect.

The radio voice effect is great to use anywhere you need to create drama, interest and set a section of your mix apart from the rest of the song. But as always, use the lo-fi vocal effect sparingly because a little bit of the radio voice effect goes a long way :)

To create the lo-fi vocal effect Joel uses Cubase, the stock EQ and delay, stock guitar amp simulator for distortion, and JST Gain Reduction but the same approach will work with any DAW and similar plugins.
