You use your cell phone for hours, don't you? You drive, you're probably even at your computer a lot and that's making your palms very tense and your forearms tense. And it's not just localized there. It goes up the arm into your neck. A lot of people, their neck issues is because their hands, wrists, and forearms are so cramped and tight. You need to stretch it.

One of the best stretches for the palm is what's called down dog pose. It's so good because of the angle here is not straight 90 degrees it's like a 45 so it's easy on the pressure. Now mistakes that people make is they spread their fingers. And so that's going to stretch a lot of the connective tissues on the fingers which will create problems later. And a lot of times when you go for the easier solution, you avoid the real problem, which is the palm. We don't want to stretch the fingers. So learn to slide your hand forward without the fingers coming apart so that you spread open the palm and that's how you do down dog.
