This was my first comparison video between two of meguiars top car wax products. I’ve used both plenty of times and have been left impressed by the results of every application.
The car that the waxes were tested on was my brother’s 2009 Ford FG G6e turbo. This car is always kept clean but we wanted to get clear and relatively precise results by thoroughly cleaning the car first and later using a clay bar across the surface where we intended to use the waxes. We also split the bonnet into three parts to see the differences, if any could be found.
To test waxes on their hydrophobic capabilities is only one part. It’s also good to compare their quality, ease of application, longevity and the look that they can leave on a surface which is what is tested in this video.
It’s always unlikely that one product would be streets ahead in terms of quality as I try to compare products of similar price and quality which also makes it difficult to find a clear winner as they’re both likely to do their job well.
