The realization that I could explore maps on my own is my favorite lesson I've learned from this trip. I've never been good at navigation or map reading, so my friends didn't trust me to tell them where to go while I was in the shotgun seat, but when I was in Hong Kong, I had to do it and I was very brave about it.
