The number of students being
The number of students being homeschooled in Queensland has “exploded” since the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Sky News host Caleb Bond.
In 2020, there were 4,297 children homeschooled compared to 2023, which has risen to 10,048.
“By last year, it had more than doubled,” Mr Bond said.
“Clearly, people are making the decision not to put their children in a school system that they believe is indoctrinating their children.
“Some of the other reasons that have been offered for why this is happening is that kids are suffering from anxiety post-COVID.”
