The OtterBox Pursuit case for iPhone 10, iPhone 10S, iPhone 10S Max, and iPhone 10R packs superior protection into a slim form factor. The OtterBox Pursuit encloses your iPhone in a hard plastic shell that's surrounded by an outer rubber shell to protect your device from drops, dust, and dirt. However, for all of the protection the OtterBox Pursuit case offers your iPhone, it can be incredibly difficult to put on, and remove. In this video, I'll walk you through how to put on and remove the OtterBox Pursuit case for the iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR.
Let's start by walking through the steps to remove your OtterBox Pursuit case from your iPhone.
Step 1. Slide your finger in between the outer rubber shell and the hard plastic piece held against your iPhone 10, iPhone 10S, iPhone 10S Max, or iPhone 10R screen. Do this on either of the longer sides.
Step 2. After you feel some separation betwene the outer rubber shell and the thin plastic piece, very gently pull up on the plastic piece to remove it out from under the outer rubber shell.
Step 3. After you get a small section of the thin plastic piece removed from under the outer rubber shell, slowly work your way around your iPhone, removing the plastic piece out from under the shell. Set the plastic piece to the side after you remove it.
Step 4. Very carefully stick a finger under where the Lightning port is located, and then lift your iPhone out of the shell. Do not lift too quickly, or else your iPhone could pop out and hit the ground.
Now let's walk through how to put the OtterBox Pursuit case on your iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, or iPhone XR.
Step 1. Place your iPhone into the back half of the OtterBox Pursuit case. The inside of this case has a soft, rubbery shell. After getting your iPhone in the case, gently push down on your phone to make sure it's firmly seated in the case.
Step 2. Slide the lower part of the thin plastic piece that serves as the top part of the OtterBox Pursuit case underneath the outer rubber shell at the bottom of the part of the case that is currently holding your iPhone 10, 10S, 10S Max, or 10R. This is the area where your iPhone's Lightning port and speakers are located. Push the rubber shell in firmly so that it's covering the bottom part of the top plastic shell.
Step 3. Work your way around your iPhone, sliding the thin plastic piece in under the outer rubber shell. Do this for the long sides of your device first, which will leave the top for last.
Step 4. Because you likely won't be able to pull the outer rubber shell over the plastic piece using your finger, I would recommend using a flat-head screwdriver. Slide the flat-head screwdriver in between the thin plastic piece and the outer rubber shell, and then slide it along the top. The outer rubber shell will slide right over the thin plastic piece.
Step 5. Gently squeeze the outer edges of your iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, or iPhone XR to ensure that all of the sides are firmly in place.
