The Dutch Army will have its own rocket artillery for effective ground-based fire support, as the Israeli PULS (Precise and Universal Launch System) system will be available this year. This will be the first time in years that the Dutch military will have its own rocket artillery, which will reach further, have larger payloads and faster target acquisition than the current artillery. Currently, the Dutch artillery has armored howitzers that can shoot up to a maximum of 50 kilometers.
