Former NTV anchor wins BBC's Komla Dumor Award

A former prime time news anchor at NTV Uganda, Nancy Kacungira, has been named the first African journalist to win the BBC World News Komla Dumor Award. This is an exceptional award celebrating the works of former BBC anchor and presenter, Komla Dumor. The Ghanaian born BBC broadcaster died of cardiac arrest in January 2014 aged 41. Nancy Kacungira, who moved on to Kenya, worked for NTV Uganda for slightly over a year between 2012 and 2013.
