How to fix rear end whine in 2017 F150

This is my brothers 2017
This is my brothers 2017 F150 with 5.0 and 6 speed automatic.
It has the 8.8 rear differential. He started to notice this noise while he was towing his camper. This was actually very common issue on F150s when i was at the dealership. I believe the bearing race failure is due to casting flaw. I could be wrong I'm not an engineer. If any one watching this has an insight on the bearing race failure please leave a comment or send me an email at [email protected].
In this video I show the process of disassembling the read end and reassembling it. Like i say in the video, I don't worry about setting pattern when installing new bearings because I'm using the original gears and installing new Ford bearings. I've installed many pinion bearings during repairs and not had any differential failure or read end noise after the repair.
Now if you are installing new gears or setting a differential up with old gears and new bearings due to a gear noise. Then in that case you will need to change pinion or carrier shims to set the differential up correctly to get a good pattern.
In this video I finally make a tool I've needed for a long time. The tool I make mounts to the pinion flange. I lets me hold the pinion while tightening the pinion flange nut. This tool comes in handy when an impact wrench can not compress a crush sleeve.
This tool is also handy when tightening a pinion nut on a differential that uses shims between the outer pinion bearing and pinion to get proper bearing preload. Think of it as a fixed crush sleeve that does not compress.

I tried finding information on the Ford 8.8 that is in 2015 an newer F150. Like I say in the video, I know Ford had said they made them liter but can not remember exactly what they did.
This axle also took a synthetic Hypoid gear oil 75w85.
