SOLVED: 2009 Mazda 6 push button start not working. (See Description)

SOLVED: It turned out to be the rfid chip in the key blade. The fob itself was fine, but there is a transponder in the key blade that had gone bad. It didn’t need to go to a dealer. Any competent locksmith can fix it for under $200.
