Tracking Type ADC:
The Tracking Type ADC is similar to the counter type ADC (Digital Ramp ADC), but it uses the up-down counter.
In case of the counter type ADC, for every conversion the counter Restarts. And due to that, the conversion time is more.
While in Tracking Type ADC, for every conversion instead of resetting the counter, the goes up or down according to the change in the input signal.
And in a way, it keeps track of the input signal.
The conversion time of the ADC:
The conversion time is a very important parameter for the ADC. Because it decides the maximum input signal frequency which can be converted faithfully.
