Learn how I made beads
Learn how I made beads from dried funeral flowers. I will share some tips and show step by step how I made beads. I used the beads from a funeral to make a rosary, a memorial bracelet, and three pocket rosaries.

Tips:
For cutting the clay - I first tried to roll a log and then cut the same size section. I was not able to get a consistent size bead. I found rolling and cutting out a small shape worked best.
For forming the bead - I bought a Sculpey bead maker but even the smallest size was way too big. Honestly, rolling these small beads perfectly round was my biggest challenge.
For protecting the bead - The most recommended varnish on the internet was Varathane® Ultimate Polyurethane Crystal Clear. It caused my white bead to turn brown from the pinkish brown flower petal bleeding. I ended up using Dorland's Wax Medium very, very thinly applied.

I had wire and crimps already. This is suggested -- .019 Soft Flex wire with 2 mm crimps

I used the largest sized eye pins in the set I bought and cut a bit off. If my beads had been a bit smaller (8mm), the medium would have been perfect.
