We visited the Jatiluwih rice terraces as part of a day trip from Ubud, including Lake Bratan and Betukaru temples. The whole area is scenic with many rice terraces, waterfalls, temples and Candikuning market nearby. The most famous part of Jatiluwih has warungs on the other side of the road where you can take in views of the terraces.

Being more out of the way, Jatiluwih is less commercial and crowded than the Tegalalang rice terraces. The incredibly green J terraces also spread over a greater distance. You are free to walk down the paths and have a closer look at the terraces and little huts. There are views of Mount Batukaru (Batukau) and Mount Agung in the background. There is a small fee per car to enter the area.
