Bystander records gunshots in broad daylight, nearly takes a bullet

A bystander captured an altercation on video, followed by numerous gunshots Sunday, May 31, 2020, in Mattydale, N.Y. Then an errant bullet nearly hit the bystander, who was watching from across a busy highway lined with houses and businesses. State police are still investigating why the group went in the parking lot and what they were arguing about. What they know is that several shots were fired and someone shot a 20-year-old man in the chest, Trooper Jack Keller said. State police said the victim remained in stable condition after he arrived at the hospital.
